He wants to help. He does. But she has to decide if she will help him help her or not.
After a moment, he looks down, his voice starting normal and gradually going quieter and more worried. "An orphanage's a place where kids that don't have parents, or their parents can't or won't take care of'em go. So there's adults who'll take care of'em, and teach'em, and make sure they'll have food and clothes and such. Some kids, other people decide they wanna be their parents, and they take'em away to new homes. Others stay until they're grown up an' can start workin' and takin' care of themselves."
