[ Vash absolutely had refused to admit how much he'd missed Nai for an absurdly long time, but then the familiar touch of small hands had him freezing, utterly surrendering to all the way he pushed and pulled his face.

Then Nai took away the shades, and, while he knew they did not exactly conceal his eyes, he felt. Open and vulnerable to find himself without them suddenly. His eyes were wide, and, Nai could probably see, they were a little glistening with tears that he refused to let fall.

Then a wave of emotions slammed into him from the other man, and gods, he remembered all the things Nai had later done. He remembered the devastatiton in the places they had passed, because Millions Knives had taken away all the plants, and people had been left to die, and something inisde his ches broke heplessly, because this was his brother. This was his brother who was young and, well, not innocent, not at this point, not anymore, but still... so vulnerable. And yet, he had all of that in him.

He swallowed down a whimper, but his quiet, ] Wolfwood... [ was only barely more solid than that. He shook his head then, breaking his reverie, and smiled at Nai. ]
