Vash is... the furthest from calm that he has been in a very long time, and that includes Wolfwood storming out on him. There is just too much raw pain that he's facing, and terror that anything he can do won't be enough. But mostly, her pain, her suffering, her rage. All of it just destroys the mental barriers he has set for himself.

But...

For her, he will give all the calm he has. Knives need not worry too much about part, but he'll have to reach them to find out.

Once it is all said and done...

He will probably be a mess, honestly. But he can keep going until he can allow himself to break.
