The wind snatched at his cigarette and tried to rip it right out of his mouth. With a muttered curse Wolfwood grabbed for it, and only succeeds in crushing the fragile cylinder in the process. Loose tobacco drifted through his fingers as he sat heavily back down, looking cross-eyed at the now half a cigarette that he'd been left with. Apparently God or whoever didn't think he deserves a final smoke.

"Well fuck you too!"

Half a cigarette, no food, no water. Wolfwood fished in his pocket for his lighter, still muttering profanity and complaints under his breath.

"It was just another job, so how come this one got me all messed up? What made him so different? Just another idiot, too stupid to... where's that damn lighter? Too stupid to know what was good for him. Too stupid to see what he was runnin' into."

He searched every pocket three times before he finally had to accept that the lighter wasn't there anymore. Because of fucking course it wasn't. With a snarl, he throw the half cigarette as far as he could.

"Too stupid to see what I was."
